Kung Fu Summer Camp
The Rocky Mountain Kung Fu Training Camp is located approximately 18 miles outside of Woodland Park, Colorado on the western slope of the majestic Pikes Peak, at an altitude of 10,500 feet. This serene setting provides the perfect place for committing to train in the traditional and ancient arts of the Taoist and Shaolin masters. For years, Sifu David has been holding an Annual Kung Fu Summer Camp in the mountains of Colorado.
Students are provided with rustic, separate male and female quarters, a main mess hall, a central fire pit, drinking water, and an outhouse. Shower and recreational facilities (pool) will be availabe in nearby Cripple Creek. The schedule consists of intensive training, 5 days a week, 6 hours a day, for a week, interspersed with work, study, relaxation, and fun. Every year, several forms are taught over the course of the week, usually consisting of a hand and weapon form. Occaisionally, a guest instructor attends summer camp to teach or help teach the forms offered during camp. Recreational activities at summer camp include swimming, hiking, competitions, and other student provided activities. |
